Escape Game Day Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
Eligibility:
This promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. Entrants under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate. Employees, officers, and directors of The Escape Game, its affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, and prize providers (collectively, the "Released Parties") and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate.
Promotion Period:
The promotion begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on October 1, 2024, and ends at 11:59 PM ET on October 1, 2024, or when all free tickets have been claimed, whichever occurs first.
How to Enter:
Free Ticket:
- Follow the clues posted by our partners on their social media channels on October 1, 2024.
- Solve the puzzle to discover the code word.
- Option 1: Return to the Escape Game Day website and enter the code word to claim your free ticket.
- Option 2: Mail-in Entry: Write down the correct code word on a piece of paper, include your full name, address, email address, and phone number, and mail it to:Attn: Teddy Cheek750 Old Hickory Blvd Building 1 Suite 180Brentwood, TN 37027The entry must be postmarked on October 1, 2024, to be eligible. Mailed entries will be counted in the order received, based on the postmark date, and are subject to ticket availability.
Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all tickets are claimed, no additional tickets will be provided. Limit one (1) free ticket per person. Free tickets are valid for any game played at The Escape Game in October 2024. The approximate retail value (ARV) of each ticket is $40.
Grand Prize Entry:
- Participants who successfully find and enter all code words from all partners will be eligible to enter the Grand Prize drawing.
- Complete the entry form on the Escape Game Day website after submitting all code words to enter the Grand Prize drawing.
Grand Prize:
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for two (2) to Nashville, TN, including:
- Round-trip airfare for two (2) from a major airport nearest to the winner’s residence to Nashville, TN (ARV: $1,000).
- Two (2) nights hotel accommodations (standard room, double occupancy) (ARV: $500).
- A VIP experience at The Escape Game, including the opportunity to play all available games and a private tour of the production facility (ARV: $600).
Total ARV of the Grand Prize: $2,100
Prize Conditions:
All federal, state, and local taxes and all other expenses not expressly listed herein are the responsibility of the winners. Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitution or cash redemption will be made except as provided herein at The Escape Game's sole discretion. The Escape Game reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
Taxes and Documentation:
All federal, state, and local taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of the prize not specifically provided for in these Official Rules are solely the winner’s responsibility. The Grand Prize winner may be required to complete and submit an IRS W-9 form (or equivalent for their jurisdiction) as a condition of receiving the prize.
Prize Providers' Responsibility:
The Released Parties, including prize providers, are only responsible for providing the initial clues and are not liable for any technical issues, entry errors, or disputes arising from the promotion. All prizes are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, and the Released Parties shall not be responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Force Majeure:
The Escape Game shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Official Rules where such failure results from any cause beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, mechanical, electronic, or communications failure; strikes; labor disputes; pandemics; acts of God; war or terror; or governmental action.
Dispute Resolution:
Any disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this promotion, but in no event attorneys' fees. Under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrants hereby waive all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, or any other damages other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
Right to Modify or Cancel:
The Escape Game reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, human error, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the promotion, as determined by The Escape Game in its sole discretion. In such event, The Escape Game reserves the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment.
Winner Verification:
Potential winners are subject to verification by The Escape Game, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the promotion. An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until the entrant’s eligibility has been verified and the entrant has been notified that verification is complete.
Limitations of Liability:
The Released Parties are not responsible for:
- Any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion.
- Technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware, software, or website.
- Failures, delays, or interruptions in service due to electronic or human error, including but not limited to issues that may prevent or delay an entrant from accessing the website, submitting their code word, or receiving and using their digital ticket code.
- Unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the promotion.
- Any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, including but not limited to the digital ticket code.
Publicity Release:
Except where prohibited by law, participation in the promotion constitutes winner’s consent to The Escape Game’s and its agents’ use of the winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.
Governing Law:
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and The Escape Game in connection with the promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Tennessee without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Tennessee or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Tennessee.
Privacy:
Information collected from entrants is subject to The Escape Game's privacy policy.
No Sponsorship by Social Media Platforms:
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Twitter, or any other social media platform used in connection with this promotion. Entrants are providing information to The Escape Game and not to the social media platforms.
